Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence in partnership with Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and SMART Technologies, Inc.,
will be hosting a two-day professional sharing and learning institute for preK-12 teachers, specialists, paraeducators and
administrators at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on September
29-30, 2009.

ê How to become a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School
ê Workshop sessions by K-12 teachers and administrators sharing best practices in the areas of science and
technology, literacy, curriculum, instructional practices, wellness and social-emotional behavior
ê Visiting a 21st Century Classroom of SMART products
ê Sharing best practices of THINKING MAPS for elementary and secondary schools
ê Meeting with principals from Blue Ribbon Lighthouse Schools and site visits to exceptional schools in the Dallas/Fort

ê Workshops on SMART Content Creation, Bilingual & ESOL Education, Technology Integration, Leadership, and
