Celebrating Schools

We have failed to celebrate the outstanding contributions to education in classrooms, schools and districts.  One of our primary missions is to share and celebrate these best practices, great schools, exceptional districts and fantastic teachers with our country and the world.

The first strategy to celebrate and share educational excellence is through our annual conference where over one hundred great teachers and many excellent schools have a chance to share their successes on an international stage.

We are designing another strategy to celebrate excellence with local districts, schools, classrooms and teachers with national institutes.  Our first institute will be in Boston, Massachusetts, in the high-performing Reading school district.  We will visit classes, enjoy presentations by outstanding teachers, and experience sessions by some of the most outstanding educators in the country.

We are in discussion with educators in South Carolina, Texas, Florida and Nevada exploring the chance to celebrate educational excellence and best practices by establishing national institutes in these areas.  Continue to return to this site for updates on the location of future national institutes.

We are exploring the use of the Internet and other electronic means of celebrating what is working and sharing information with states, schools and districts.  We are in the process of developing partnerships with major companies, universities and foundations.
