Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence is planning an exciting institute for outstanding students focusing on leadership and culture in partnership with the Disney Institute at Walt Disney World.
Christine Voigt, Instructional Technology Coordinator at Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas, Texas, will lead this student project.

One of the missions of Blue Ribbon Schools has been to involve and focus on students in all of our initiatives.  Students will experience world class leadership training and the opportunity to create a cultural and world peace forum with other students around the world. Some of the activities that will be included in the Blue Ribbon Student Institute are:

  • Leadership and cultural training provided by internationally acclaimed Walt Disney World Student Institute: Leadership Excellence: The Inside Track is part of the Disney Institute Family & Youth Programs. The training and activities will take place in the Epcot theme park. Click here to download the Disney PDF on the program.

  • Also part of the Walt Disney World Student Institute: Millenium Cultures is available for middle school students. The training and activities will also take place in the Epcot theme park. Click here to download the Disney PDF on the program.
  • Afternoon admission to Epcot and the Candlelight Processional including a private opening reception at Italy Isola overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon and a viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks and laser show.
  • Special sessions designed by Jason Fulmer and Teachers of the Year focusing on leadership and cultural experiences with outstanding students. The students will participate in an activity that will challenge their leadership skills.
  • Special sessions by corporate sponsors involving the latest techniques in technology and continuing to develop a social network for students to share cultural information designed to bring students together from over the world.
  • Special sessions on leadership presented by some of the most successful principals in the world. The students will receive a template of outstanding leadership strategies.
  • Special theme park ticket reductions will be available to students.
All participating students will receive a certificate illustrating the projects completed and certification in the Blue Ribbon Schools Student Leadership Institute.
Our student project is designed to infuse students in a world class forum with Walt Disney World as the environment.
